Chamser And Lungser Kangri
In this Trek/climb you will explore the inhabited nomadic herders and by rare animals such as wolf and kiang Tibetan Argali Blue sheeps and many rare species of wild birds. After a week of inspirational trekking, we reach the high passes that provide our first views of Lungser Kangri (6666m) and its near neighbour, Chamser Kangri (6620m) - the highest of a ridge of snow-capped peaks on the east side of Tso Moriri. From a basecamp above the lake, the peak is climbed by way of a high camp and a long summit day. Not so technical, from the top of Lungser you can have scintillating views of the Western Tibet and Changthang plateau.

It was a wonderful experience; everything was just new, interesting and wonderful. People are just marvelous; we adored the guest houses where we sleep. Food was variated and very good and views were “breathtaking”. The guide knew how to adapt the rhythm for us. Special thanks to Javed for all the help.

We did the Expedition to Lungser Kangri. It was Fantastic! Long & hard, but beautiful days, a wonderful team (both trekkers, climbing guide, cooks and horse men). Driving to Rumtse made us see Beautiful scenery and the impressive gorgesans we camp at rumtse that also gave us the time to acclimatize properly. The weather has been great; we have seen wonderful peaks on the way, visited local people and had tea with them. Thanks to having a local guide and we’ve eaten great meals, momos, thukpas, dhal, and palak paneer etc. Last thing: take care of your feet, I had 16 blisters! And bring a warm sleeping bag; I was cold every night in spite of being Norwegian! I warmly recommend the trek; it was very well organized by Dreamland.
